Background:

Fairtrade Shaftesbury believe in buying fairly traded goods that we cannot produce in this country as well as goods that are produced locally.

Human values are at the heart of Fairtrade. It gives an independent guarantee to small scale producers in the developing world so that they get fair prices allowing sustainable production and investment in social and economic development projects.

In Shaftesbury we feel that local producers also need a fair trade guarantee.
