Biogas - Explosive Potential!

A free half day seminar organised by South Somerset District Council

COULD WE BE LEADING THE WAY IN SOMERSET?

Biogas, produced from rotting waste and sewage can be used as fuel for electricity, heating and transport. To date much of what is produced simply escapes into the atmosphere contributing to climate change - methane is 24 times more powerful than CO2 as a greenhouse gas.

We've organised this conference to find out about the potential for biogas and what more can be done to bring it to market. There are a number of towns and projects in Sweden, showing what can be done. Could Somerset lead the way, in the UK, with demonstration projects pioneering innovative, sustainable solutions to climate change?
